Vintage Tezuka Poppo Clock vintage music equipment but the lean back functionc. 1940s Novelty wind up mantle clock manufactured by Tezuka Clock Co. (under their "Poppo Clock" brand) in Occupied Japan. Tezuka was one of the firs companies that occupying powers allowed to reopen after the war, as such, they had a headstart on the market. They began selling novelty clocks with eyes timed to the second hand movement, such as this item, in 1946 before branching out to include cuckoo clocks in 1949. They closed in the 1970s, leaving
