Clearly a folk art creation--and I really love that one glass eye sits a little higher than the other--but the carving of the body has a muscular power to it

plus the stucco like texture of the surface and the little steeple where one would expect a chimney

(I had one of these previously that still had glass plates in it which made it feel very much like the encapsulation of a peep show; black shades veiling glass windows which one could then sliding open to expose them.)
