The idea is so ingenious that it's still highly effective and astonishing today. Viking Mfg. has now revived this effect and is very proud of it! Below we describe George Robinson Jr.'s base effect, but we're sure you'll come up with more: You show a longer and a shorter empty brass tube and ask a spectator to put a pencil stub or a similarly sized object into the shorter tube, close
